Zygor Guides Mysts of Pandaria Prelaunch

With the upcoming release of Mists of Pandaria, all of the World of Warcraft guide makers are proclaiming the benefits of their guides. In my last post I mentioned that Dugi's Guide is my favorite. However you can't discount the Zygor Guides. Both Dugi and Zygor offer in-game guides. This means the tips appear on the screen as you play, as opposed to having to read a pdf file.

Quite frankly, both the in game guides mentioned above are excellent. It really comes down to trying them out and sticking with the one that you prefer. TOday I am going to focus on the Zygor Guide.

Zygor Guides has just launched an interesting Mists of Pandaria guide launch site. They are counting down the days to the September 25 Pandaria release, by releasing daily videos talking about the upcoming changes in WoW and the new features in Zygor Guide 4.0.

Dugi Guides Mists of Pandaria Guide Updates

As you can see from previous posts, I am a fan of the Dugi Worlds of Warcraft Guides. If you already have a guide and are wanting to update for Mists of Pandaria, or if you are you looking to buy a guide for the first time, here is some info about what is coming up at Dugi Guides. The following is taken from the Ultimate WoW guide website:

"You might already be aware that Blizzard recently announced the release date of Mist of Pandaria to be September 25th 2012, and I’m happy to confirm that we will complete our leveling guide updates before the release date so that all our users will have their leveling guide ready as soon as MoP is released. Here are some important informations regarding our guides…
For All New Purchases: 

• Dugi Guides will be offering a grace period of 3 months for free updates for our Mist of Pandaria guides.  This means all new purchase from June 25th 2012 onwards will receive Mist of Pandaria guides update for free.

For Older Purchases: 

• Note that all your current guides will still work with Mist of Pandaria expansion, you don’t need to purchase the MoP updates to continue using Dugi Guides, but to receive the new MoP guides you will need to purchase the MoP Updates.
• Leveling, Loremaster / Dungeon, Dailies & Events MoP update will be included in one purchase of $20 for single faction or $30 for both faction.
  - This will cover Pandaren Starting Zone, All Level 85-90 Zones, Dailies, Events , Level 85-90 Dungeons and any other related content.
  - Old customers who inherited our lifetime update promise (purchases before Nov 2008) will receive this update for free.
• Achievement & Profession Mop update will require a separate purchase of $10 for single faction or $15 for dual faction.
  - This will cover new achievements and professions up to level 600.
  - Major improvements are also coming soon.
• Dugi Gold Academy MoP update will be free to all purchase, this will come a few months later after the initial release of the expansion.

The prices above are our special Pre-Order prices which will be available only between September 17th – September 24th, then prices for MoP Updates will increase the same time as the expansion is released.  We will also offer a special sale price for all our existing guides during the pre-order special.

Hell Has Been Unleashed!!!

If you are like me, you have been eagerly awaiting the release of Diablo 3. And now the day is finally here. I know this is a site about World of Warcraft, but for me, without Diablo there would likely be no Warcraft.

I have been waiting for this game ever since i finished Diablo 2 oh so many years ago. It almost seemed like the day would never come. A lot has changes since that last version. Some new classes, greatly improved graphics and gameplay. And one other thing that has changed is the availability of game guides.  For Diablo 2 there was just one official game guide that was released. Now guides of all types being released online to help you level faster, gear up your toon, and make some big bucks at the new auction house.

Noblegarden!!!

Noblegarden is here! In case you can't tell from my exclamation points, it is my favorite World of Warcraft world event of the year. There is something about the competitiveness of scooping up all those eggs from under the noses of the other players.I logged on late tonight planning to gather 25 eggs. Well that soon turned into 128 eggs. I couldn't help myself.

Here are a few of my tips for egg hunting:

1) You will gather eggs faster by running around and sniping them than you will sitting in one spot.

2)I usually pick a spot where there are 3-5 egg drop sites and then run back and forth between them.

3)Don't forget to switch your weapon to the egg basket to give you the speed burst you need to out snipe the others.

4)If you can swing it, pick an off peak time to gather eggs. ie early morning, weekdays, etc. The less players online, the more eggs for you.
